This is Chuck's best vox easily, I'd probably drop this to a 3.5 or 3 if I heard this again though. Been so long.

But the vocals are so prevalent in every song minus the instrumental, idk how the vocals do not ruin the album for you if they were "borderline unlistenable". If I found the vocals that bad on an album I'd have to 2.5 it or less if they heavily prevalent.

I’m probably overrating this, easily the worst Chuck vox & the song-writing isn’t especially strong when compared to the rest of their (admittedly incredible) discography.
