interesting mindset, i think it's one that is very subject to change though. i probably identified with that much more several years ago. at some point either interests shift or you just start running out of music with general acclaim or popularity. just depends i guess

I just said I check out things that it looks like other people enjoy and that I think I will enjoy as well and unsurprisingly I usually end up enjoying them. Yeah there are some albums I've spent a bit more time with than I would have otherwise because they were so acclaimed but usually not.
