"I'm relieved they only announced a live album instead of new music lol"

Somewhat concerned that said live album video is currently announced as a "7-day rental", and not a physical blu-ray.

Hope I'm missing something.

I saw that 7 day rental as well, which is a bummer. I'm weak so I'll probably pay and turn it into a movie night event.

The Armed did the same thing with their concert film. It eventually released on blu-ray much later down the line, and now it's on Youtube for free. Botch is on the same label so I would expect something similar.

^ That's a pretty solid and logical assumption. Cool, Xing.

there is no possible way anything they would release today could live up to this and anthology

the new song was 3.5/5

The new song had a cool chorus but the rest of it just felt really lifeless. Hopefully it sounds more energetic on the live album after playing it on tour a bunch.

^ I saw them play it live, and I recall it being more-or-less the same as what was released--obviously, that was over a year ago, and my memory's far from photographic... I suppose the main takeaway was that it didn't stand out as being radically different to the single.

It was a decent enough song. Seemed to me to be more in line with the metalcore acts they influenced, than a definitive O.G. Botch statement, but two decades+, real life, other bands and middle age, it'd be kind of bizarre/near miraculous if they just picked up where they left off on new material, firing on all cylinders. It was good and stately enough, IMO.

we talking about one twenty two? because thats prob my favorite botch track in spite of how half baked it seems. completely sets itself apart from the rest of their discography with its banger energy

^ Yeah, they were amazing, live.

Casually peppering in to any vaguely interested parties, that I saw them play on their reunion/farewell tour, will be my humblebrag forevermore.
