feel like since al passed away the raiders have made so many bullshit flashy coach and gm hires gruden, mcdaniels, and especially fucking mike mayock instantly come to mind.
antonio pierce took a team that just hit ground zero and completely turned them around midseason. this team has needed a culture reset for what seems like forever now.
and who better to pair with a first time head coach than a gm with over a decade of experience? say what you will about the chargers underperforming over the past decade but they have that reputation because they almost always had really good rosters. people were calling herbert "trubisky 2.0" going into that draft and laughed their asses off when telesco took him. feel like the raiders could've done so much worse.

From what I've been reading, I don't think LA ever had interest in Bill; they were all-in on the Harbaugh sweepstakes and gunned for him hardcore. Atlanta was the only team reported to have given him an interview.
I think him and Vrabel are about to be on the outside looking in this cycle, unless Vrabel is willing to take a coordinator position. Bill might call it a career.

seemed like arthur blank badly badly wanted belichick but the entire rest of the falcons front office pushed back (prob cause they'd essentially all have been demoted).
i don't dislike the raheem morris hire though. but yeah seems bb will not be head coach this year. ben johnson to washington is pretty much set in stone apparently, and belichick seems too old for the seattle job considering they just canned pete carroll.
