Re: cellphones, I was referring to him literally saying 'PUT DOWN YOUR PHONE' in one of the new APC songs. Which I'm fine with, that's what APC is there for imo, an outlet for Maynard to be more direct and less cryptic. As for people getting kicked out of shows, they were told 'no phones', sucks that they didn't listen.

I don't really care about it, but it's the band's choice in the end. Maynard is notorious for standing in the corner facing away from the audience during live performances. He clearly does not enjoy being spectated, and having a ton of people just holding their phones up recording is even more nerve-wracking. If the band feels it gets in the way of the performance than I'm all for it.

Wait people got kicked out just for checking their phones? That's fucking dumb. I don't know if anyone got kicked out when I saw them, but I remember the rule was no recording or taking pictures. There wasn't anything against just taking your phone out and checking it e.g. text message, so long as you weren't pointing it towards the stage.
