and yeah I mean a lot of metal is hilarious conceptually but I think we’ve moved away from idea of ALL metal being easy to ridicule, simply because it comes in so many forms

honestly the more lame part is it sure looks like none of the other surrounding albums got nearly as much of a chance to be viewed as classics even if they might have done something better than the consensus #1 in a lot of cases. people will spin this but completely avoid Seasons, South of Heaven or Show No Mercy as evidenced by there being double as many ratings on here/rym and far more streams. and it's not just metal - just look at Slowdive, 50 thousand people have rated Souvlaki but no one gives the other albums a chance in comparison
and having a different ranking is cool because it tells me ur not just some mindless drone that just copypasted from a like rolling stone but for metal type of ranking list
