Like, I can totally deal with people not seeing this one as a strong album as a whole, but really Paschendale and the t/t are by far the best 21st century Maiden songs. Empire of the Clouds' t/t is the only one that might get a little bit close to them

Quite easily trumps BNW imo. If nothing else, simply because theres nothing here even HALF as bad as Blood Brothers. The opening 3-song stretch here is absolutely killer. As is the t/t and Paschendale.

I just really don't get the love for that one. First three tracks, The Mercenary, and The Nomad are INCREDIBLE. Blood Brothers is a 1/5. And the rest of the tracklist is just okay imo. But I'm giving that one some more time to marinade in my head. Will probably end up bumping it to a 3.5 but would still give this one the edge.

I can't see how Blood Brothers is 1/5. The chorus is definitely very repetitive and it drags down the song a bit but the calm section is awesome and the verses are pretty cool imo.
Out of the Silent Planet and Thin Line are quality deep cuts too

I dont mind the rest of the track, but that chorus is so ear-grating to me that it starts looping in my head as soon as the song starts. So I end up spending the whole song thinking about nothing but the chorus. Dumb, I know, but that's just how much I detest it.
Thin Line is definitely my second least favorite BNW cut.
