Not sure I get the END comparisons, aside from the really obvious being that they're both heavy and share a vocalist. I think END has way more depth and variety in their sound.

Only when they're both taken to the most basic level. END does way more genre blending and Counterparts has some of their recognizable melody mixed in here. But yeah, when they drop their interesting and distinct elements they both sound like generic heavy metalcore bands, I guess. I feel like it's a comparison being reached for just because of Brendan.
