Tomb mold is prob my favorite outta all the more modern dm bands. Manor of infinite forms and planetary clairvoyance are top tier. Got both vinyl here at the house i spin them frequently

I love tomb mold's sophomore a lot but they can't compare to BI at this point imho

See Idk about that. Tomb mold is just as good imo. That's where I feel like these guys can be overrated when ppl start start saying other great bands don't compare to them that turns me off from this band. these guys aren't that much better than tomb mold nah Not me to anyway. Or worm, mortiferum and tons of others.

I mean yeah they prob are but not THAT much better. When ppl start saying tomb mold "don't compare" to them and shit like that then it's just ppl overrating these guys. Period. Cause all those bands rule to. There comes a point when ppl can overrate even great bands and that deff applies to this band. Alot of ppl don't like these guys from the insane amount of hype they get.. there's other great bands to its not just the blood incantation show

I'm regretting buying this vinyl. I like it, but not THAT much. Album feels like an identity crisis more than anything outright impressive.

I dunno, this kind of feels like all their instincts and influences chipping away at each other. I can't really get into any element of it, but especially not the DM, which feels very bland to me compared to the other two. We'll see--a couple more plays are in order.

Like I’ve said I don’t think this is bad, I enjoy it. But it does feel like the dm riffing is less intricate in favor of a more cinematic and “emotional” vibe which I think makes it a little easier to latch onto for some people, so I get the hype. Just not the direction I personally was hoping they’d go

"But it does feel like the dm riffing is less intricate in favor of a more cinematic and “emotional” vibe "
This is very true. Or when it goes its hella focused on that particular riff.
Also, probably a 5 eheh
The esoteric vibe takes it home for me in comparison with the aforementioned bands, which I do love either way

Cool album cover. Never heard of but looks maybe not bad.

i've started to value album construction and flow a lot when it comes to evaluation, and for me this feels very cohesive despite the juxtapositions in style
if an album that is 60 minutes long feels like 30 minutes, that's a very good sign that it was carefully crafted

Yeah this shit flies by
Saw an enterview on how they were influenced by Lykathea Aflame on Message, specially on the idea of being brutal with a somewhat positive vibe at the same time.

Ok yeah this fucking rules. I've heard a bit of these guys here and there but I've been getting into a lot more DM lately and this one really hit for me, gonna get a bunch more rotations and gonna have to dive their discog.

God they really need to bring Lykathea to streaming services
