Recovery is so damn great and underrated.
Agreed. And after encore and relapse (which I think is pretty decent tbh, but still disappointing), it was definitely a welcome addition.

>they only earred him
>lol wait wut (I thought that only happened in the movies)

Eminem should have just released Crack A Bottle as a single and binned the rest of the Relapse album
Recovery has 4 classics on it with Not Afraid, No Love, Space Bound and Love The Way You Lie but at 1 hr 17m its got so much filler that brings it down

Def feel like Guilty Conscience 2 should’ve been the last track. The songs afterward could be reworked and put on something else, they’re not bad but it makes the album feel confused and bloated.

rap flow these days sounds corny to me :c

yeah i kinda agree... maybe keep someone save me as the epilogue track. still need to give this another listen but been thinking about it a lot may bump my rating up
reading through this thread i'm def finding i don't exactly hate this guy like most people seem to... despite making some truly awful music these past 15ish years. i'm all for the old guy's still got it story

Guilty Conscience should've either been the last track or, like, track four or five. Either way, this album basically needed an entirely new draft.

It’s got some heaters but yeah, for all his talking about getting better after encore and relapse, recovery ain’t much better
On Fire and No Love are pretty damn good, Won’t Back Down is solid, Space Bound is one of his more solid sad boi tracks. But yeah, looking at the rest of the track list… that’s fucking rough.

I actually kinda liked a handful of stuff from Music To be Murdered By & Kamikaze, this just ain't really doing it for me. also lol at Brand New Dance being leftover Encore material.

idk if he got this across very well (or even intended this at all) or even made good songs out of it but... if i understand that ending of guilty conscience correctly it seemed like killing shady also killed eminem himself cause they were one in the same... so everything after that is supposed to read posthumously?? the album suddenly becomes very feature heavy (a hallmark of posthumous rap albums) and generic and "temporary" in particular very much comes off like a track he's had in the vault in some form for a long time and hardly feels finished and barely makes sense being included on this album otherwise.

Honestly, the album starts to fall apart by the time temporary comes along. If I had it my way, I’d have omitted temporary, bad one, and somebody save me and just ended on tobey/guess who’s back skit as it feels like a good closer

seems like an unpopular opinion but i do find renaissance kinda weak tho it does set up the album well enough
zero mention of drake on that track tho lol iirc him and eminem have also had problems for a really long time and almost had a full-on beef around like 2017
