Yeah this is starting to look like a 4'5 in my mind. It shreds, it slaps with groove and it riffs pretty hard, but the bass alone is worth the price of admission.
This album combines all.the good things of modern proggy death without an overall self-indulgent or wankery result. It's the best elements of bands like TBDM, The Faceless, Cattle Decapitation, Hideous Divinity... mixed in the best possible way

Yo wtf I'm not usually that big of a fan of this sound but they do it extremely well. Feels like there's a lot less wankery and more dynamics (and actual songwriting) than the usual tech/death album. Also actual riffs and melodies that have space to breathe. The production is also very very good which helps. The album to beat for AOTY for me to far.
