Lot of people including myself just can't let go of formative bands - title track isn't great I'll give you that
|
| |
think enough time has passed to more formally label this as perhaps the worst-sounding record officially released by a band I was previously a big fan of
that's uh
some kind of accomplishment I guess

The good stuff just gets better with every listen.

Still not sure how I feel about this but it isn't terrible.
If you replace the +44 album and the Boxcar Racer album (which I consider the "lost" Blink-182 albums) with California and Nine you get a pretty consistent discography.

Yeah Matt Skiba era is pretty much a different band in my mind, BCR and +44 make sense in the progression of blink's discography, luckily I feel like this album picks up where they left but with a lot more of their core identity than what was presented on Neighborhoods

Yeah I barely consider Nine and California Blink records, wish they just recorded them with Matt under a different name tbh

“We’re gonna play a fucking brand-new song,” said Mark Hoppus onstage as he introduced it, “that nobody has ever heard before – not even management, not our fucking agent, not fucking anybody. We just wrote this song, and we’re gonna play it tonight.”
“Not even your mom when I called her up at 2am,” added Tom DeLonge"
Fucking lol

I was at their concert in LA on Saturday and they did play a brand new song towards the end. It was cool but the whole event was awesome. I’m glad I went

One more time pt. 2 coming September 6th. 8 new songs. First single “all in my head” out this Friday (Aug 23).

The two new songs are pretty damn good

Take Me In is outstanding. The rest of the pt.2 songs are just kinda okay. Sounds very much like songs that were cut from the album, but they're still serviceable, mild fun.

Wish I could like this but the girl I was seeing at the time went to the show without me. I’m pissed. But ya gotta move on

Pt 2 mostly feels like b sides. Decent b sides, but still.

I had fun this this album, but I agree that part 2 was not worth releasing. Listened through once and agree it felt like Bs
