It’s their call at the end of the day, but I’m pretty sure they would. Problem is, I think that olive branch was extended many months ago, in response to which the flood of alts continued, which has put the mods to more time and energy, which I don’t think has helped mend bridges.

the Yeule thread didn't read like anyone was really trying to diffuse anything from any side and there were an awful lot of users on one side of that equation (never an edifying look for any community), but, as established, he was supposed to be serving a ban anyway and he also was doing a pretty bad job of diffusing things

I remember he wrote this insanely good write up one time and both it and his alt account instantly got nuked because in the previous month he'd done something very stupid and was on a ban that he wasnt respecting. Sach got upset cause his genuinely good work got fucked, but the ban was totally justified.



like sure if youre 90% being a good cookie then that's great, but if you continue to do 10% of the sillies, and those sillies are EXACTLY what you were banned for, and you havent apologised publicly or otherwise for your past or present sillies, AND are still meant to be banned for those sillies, then i dont really know what to tell you. if you're banned and respect the ban, or at least less belligerently/flagrantly seek to circumvent it, then the ban will come to an end sooner.

Yeah I didn’t know the full story with Colton and it sounds like an obvious ban, but in terms of this thread and others it’s just one less user chatting about music at some detail on a site that’s not exactly buzzing with activity

One thing that creased me up today was I heard Fantano gave the album a 9 rating so searched to watch the review (I rarely do but as I like the album so much thought ok)…instead first I found the initial listen ‘reaction’ video.



Wtf was that all about, he’s slowly nodding, or pulls a slight grimace, then he’s choking up and crying. Very emotional man (on demand?). Effect somewhat ruined by the shades 😎

i find him very hard to read, but i think he just leans alot into the internet person persona thing. if you dont take most of what you say thaaaat seriously, even when what you say does mean alot to you, then its easier not to get hurt. idk - you see the journey in most sput users from 12 year old crying self to sleep after receiving death threats for their linkin park obsession > hardening up and caring less about what strangers on the internet think of you.
