Sucks. I have been indifferent for this band for a while now, but they always had the potential to grab my attention. Let's see how this unfolds, but it's talented memebers that might be leaving

Damn, just got confirmed by the band today. What even is Haken right now?

Pretty bad news. Current line-up was something pretty special. Though it might be alright; the band obviously has a knack for attracting talented musicians.

Guess at least they still have Henshall..

I think if Henshall left at any point in time, Haken would probably hang it up. I don't see Haken existing without him; he seems like a linchpin for them.

Well, the singwriting will be quite different now, I guess. I loved The Cocoon. Might have been my favorite solo Haken project, but I don't think I listened to all of them

yeah, this is as uninspired and boring as I've ever heard these guys. even worse than that Diego's-important-and-has-a-boner-for-80s-synths record

might be a good time to call it quits for these guys

New single is definitely closer to Vector/ Virus territory. Seems angrier than anything they've ever done (those Ross harsh vocals...) which is understandable given how gutted they've been left.

Nice! I like the new single, definitely gives Virus vibes like you said. I do already miss Connor's bass athletics but that's just a personal thing; the song is quality.

I'm hoping there's a little more of Haken's signature goof/ epicness on future songs, but as a teaser of things to come and a reassurance that they're still a band, it serves its purpose.

need to sit with this one, didnt grab me immediately, the screams were alright but honestly i dont think theyre needed for Haken and if anything might make them a bit more generic in the scene

I guess the song does feel a bit generic, which makes sense. It has more similarities to The Cocoon now, I guess, which I really liked

The modern sterile/mechanical production again. Wish bands would stop using drums that sound fake.

Yeah the prod did it no favors, and it already was pretty bland and too long. Not a huge fan despite it just being kinda meh

Yea, The Cocoon was great, but I don't think I want Haken to sound like this

For a song that really wants to be grabbed by its sound collage, the arrangements never feel satisfyingly impactful to me. Something's just not landing right, but I recall I've been in a personal issue with these guys for a while.
