You could say that about nearly any main Gorillaz album you don’t like. Looking at the standard version this one doesn’t even have many features compared to Song Machine, Humanz, and Plastic Beach. This one being terrible is all on Damon.

Idk about magic perserved. I've had tracks here and there slip into my ears over the years that came across as kind of milquetoast. My roommate was showing me some songs from this a couple days ago and I didn't have the heart to tell him it was vaguely hotdog/ass water. He was vibing.

Agreeing that the magic is gone and sayin the best way to preserve the magic they once had is to ignore new Gorillaz lol. I think we are on the same page.

The bonus tracks are ok, I like hearing del on the album but it also kinda highlights how nothing the main tracks feel on repeated listens. Like I'm not getting the hype for Silent Running? It would be considered a filler track if it was on plastic Beach. What is standing out to you guys? I kinda like New Gold but it also sounds too goofy for me to take seriously.
