That's the thing though, NOBODY defends Wentz anymore. Most fans and media personalities agree that he's either washed or has severe deficiencies in his game.



As a Titans fan, I promise that I saw Wentz play enough (I check in on the AFC South frequently) to say he was not as good as the stats portray. That man killed a lot of his team's chances, and his deep ball was pure PI bait without any actual skill/accuracy involved. Colts fans also say that he checked out of a lot of plays and frequently abandoned them in favor of doing his own hero ball crap.

Except for Colin Cowherd, who gets it wrong pretty much 100% of the time lol. And that’s the shitty part/the actual beauty of football. If ONE guy is doing his own thing or doing it wrong, the whole team suffers for it to a certain extent. Wentz had one stellar season and that’s his template for winning but it doesn’t work so he’s washed.

In other news, Stafford has tendonitis in his elbow and if I wasn’t concerned about Game 1 already, I’m deeply concerned now…

Oh yeah in hindsight I’m happy that Mac fell to them and he was the best rookie QB last year and they actually made the playoffs. I was actually at the BUFvNE playoff game in Buffalo to see Macs first playoff game. It was -5 degrees and the Pats got shit on, but Bills Mafia is fucking awesome. Everyone there was fun and respectful and made it a great time. Best football game I’ve been to, even in a blowout.

Mac is definitely solid and could improve over time, but of the rookies that saw significant playing time, Mills honestly looked the scariest from the start.

I heard a very interesting take the other day about Shanahan and his future.



People always compared Shanahan and McVay as these two young savants of the game who are going to be the next generation of coaching legends. McVay already has a Super Bowl win and anytime a position opens on his staff, people flock to fill it. Shanahan continues to stagnate and no one is hyping him up anymore and he could potentially be fired if this season tanks. Kind of nuts.



I mean, Shanahan is the one who repeatedly botched offensive calls in SB51 and helped bring the Pats back in it.

Shanahan's brilliance in terms of offensive schemes is something I won't question. But the man struggles as a coach, especially late in games. It's how he ends up falling short despite having great concepts. I mean, he got out-foxed by the clock management of ANDY REID in the Superbowl.



They've staked a lot on Lance and there might be consequences if he's cold out of the gate this season.

Idk if I would say is Tom Brady is even the most talented QB to ever play. But he is unquestionably the SMARTEST person to ever play that position, which is why he’s won so many times.

Update from Rams: Stafford was throwing at practice today and said his arm feels irritating but he’s feeling good overall. WE’RE RUNNING IT BACK GUYS!

Had a really funny interaction with my wife today, who’s father is like a 5th generation Wisconsonian with a gigantic family all in Wisconsin. I won’t get into all the specifics but all of her family are pretty apologetic over Aaron Rodgers right now except for her.
