It was recorded in 1989 that's why I considered it as part of the 80's.

At any rate, this isn't a classic for the 90's either.

"Sodom, Kreator, Slayer, Voivod, Kat, Metallica, Morbid Scream, Nasty Savage, Pestilence, Vio-Lence, Sacrifice, Destruction, Sadus, Slaughter Lord all had albums I'd say top this, but this is still top 50 for sure."



no way Vio-Lence, Sacrifice, Destruction, Pestilence (only referring to their thrash album), or Metallica had anything as good as this imo.

liner notes of the 2016 reissue (interview with guitarist Jay Visser) says this was recorded in December 1987.
released as "Lock Up Your Children" demo in the late 80s, then re-released as Spectrum of Death with this cover art in 1990
