I was thinking thoroughfare was my fave track and colton basically confirmed that to be true

Maybe try listening to this somewhere other than the gym then report back lol
|

i adore the image of colton's only listen through of this album being the fucking gym and then hopping on to drop an opinion

Hard Times, Sun Bleached Flies, Strangers, A House In Nebraska, and Ptolemaea all better (but, keep in mind, I still love it)

lol wdym it's literally the perfect place to listen to music.... I also listened to some of it on the way there and the way back (and going for a walk outside is THE best place to listen to music)
Gym sounds terrible to me because you have too many potential interruptions or need to have really good headphones to block out other noise. Outside walks are generally pretty GOAT but not really for this album or other slower/atmospheric unless you're walking at night I guess.

i can imagine the gym being an excellent place to listen to music if you only ever jam epicbrocore
this is not entirely that
|

One song sounds like Chelsea Wolfe, another a sadder T-Swift. I love it.
|

@Colton what cans do you use at the gym?

The gym and a walk are perfect places for music

@colton heavily disagree, i find that the setting i'm in will often have a pretty noticeable effect on my first impression of an album. maybe thats just cause my adhd brain cant focus on the music unless im alone and completely undistracted but yeah
walks in the woods + listening at home on my studio monitors are def my fav ways to hear an album for the first time
|
| |
I couldn’t jam this in gym. Gotta be Dark Tranquillity, synthwave, Unearth, Attack on Titan themes, Marina or something along those lines.

Album Rating: 4.5
yeah thats understandable, i guess it also depends on the type of album. if its something like this where active listening is more rewarding than a casual listen, i much prefer to be alone and undistracted. if its a rap album or something else that i can just jam out to, im fine listening to it at the gym or out in public or whatever
