let's also all agree to not even acknowledge Reefa in this thread anymore. seriously just don't do it. let him flail around looking for attention but don't give him any. this is the only way to defeat the Reefa.

@radio Higher highs and lower lows then damn. The extra 20 minutes makes this an absolute chore to listen to but yeah i would take it over damn

I definitely enjoyed this the least of all his albums on my first listen, but I could see that changing

We Cry Together and Silent Hill are the best songs and Im not even just saying that because I like irritating Kendrick simps

"I'd say this is his 2nd weakest, just because his first 3 albums are THAT good" counting s.80 or no? i've kept a burnt copy in my car since 2013ish and spun it to dirt and i just don't see it. i love all of kendricks shit but this is just fantastic. hope everyone warms up to it a bit more in time. personally can't stop jamming this shit

""dude the same thing could happen in a white community its all dependent on that circumstantial group. how can you say you're not racist when just straight up saying all black people are homophobic and transphobic"
That's the problem with you idiots. You put words in other peoples mouths and scream racism and then wonder why people don't take any of you leftist dipshits serious

yeah counting S.80, this is a solid 4 and Section.80 is like a 4.2

I don’t know if this is better than Damn but it is more interesting to me off first listen. My first impressions of Damn were admittedly mired by its position as a follow up to TPAB and it took me a long time to appreciate it because of that. This is a bit more immediately gratifying. Like all his albums there are high highs and low lows, but I appreciate how many ideas are going on on this one.

could definitely see this rising above Section 80 for me with enough time. idk though maybe not

GKMC is my favorite of his, album is a masterpiece. Many will disagree but I never really fully connected with TPAB - but I respect its artistry and it obviously has some amazing songs. DAMN. also has some amazing songs but also some misses with the mid attempts at radio play. It's early but I definitely prefer this over DAMN.

i would definitely put this over DAMN immediately but it def needs time. i still will randomly listen to YAH and element and LOVE but completely ignore the rest of the album while rolling my eyes if i hear humble in public
haven't listened to s.80 in so long besides ADHD and no make up is probably my second least favorite kendrick song ever after i
|
| |
gkmc is prob my forever favorite, literally no skips
|
| |
This is certainly closer to what I expect from Kendrick, where Damn was an outlier that happened to have some slow burner bops
