I remembered my local radio station overplayed Them Bones so I thought it was a weak opener for years
Sometimes I still feel like I like Grind or We Die Young more but Them Bones isn't weak I just heard it too much

you know how sometimes you get burnt out of a song from over-hearing it too much so you kinda get sick of it after a while? that's what i mean, that and it was always the first song to come on when i'd play madden nfl 10 so it was bound to be glossed over in favor of other songs on dirt for me. took a while to finally get back into them bones, i would almost always skip straight to track 2 on my cd for a while

Im glad its starting to get some respect. It's arguably their most consistent album, and while it doesn't quite have the highs of Dirt or Facelift it's got Check My Brain, A Looking in View, and Private Hell.

Spun this again this week and the entire run from God Smack to Angry Chair really takes the oomph out of this album. The highs are so high that I want it to be a 4.5 but it's hard not to skip those 4 tracks.
