The new songs are pretty much the exact opposite of everything I’ve asked for from yeule… and yet they are somehow my fav material from them?? It seems to draw from a similar pool of aesthetic queues as stuff like George clanton and negative Gemini albeit a bit more stripped down, but it’s scratching that itch… honestly Moreso than the aftual new clanton album itself

Yeah it’s really really great. I’m really excited for the album.

Dazies the type of song that you feel like you’ve heard a hundred times the first time you hear it. Not in a “this sounds like so many other songs” kind of way but just in a like comforting emotional familiarity kind of way, idk it feels like a favourite blanket you’ve had for years.

so true, it pulls little bits from other stuff that i know and love but its made fresh by all that little ear candy and the fact that yeule is just so distinctive and unique both as a presence and in the way she approaches songwriting

we sooo hyped rn

The first verse on ghosts reminds me a bit of anthems for a 17 year old girl or whatever that broken social scene song is

I think it’s so funny that a couple months ago I was effort posting entire paragraphs about how I wish she leaned into the edginess of her persona more and here I am being like “I love how this one reminds me of broken social scene”

Potsy digging BSS is not something I envisaged, lol

also not something I thought Yeule would lean into, so it could be interesting to see how this plays out

new album is so much better than I was hoping so far that the rest of 2023 dream pop can p much pack its bags and park it on the kerb (RIP Slowdive/Ruby Haunt/Beach Fossils/Bitch House/M83). Asian Glow collab when?

I already forgot M83 put out an album this year. x w x is so good I need more of that. I'd be all for an Asian Glow collab with more songs in that direction.
