After 10 years in limbo this is kinda disappointing. This could've easily been a 4 star album, but almost all the good ideas are undercooked and too short, there's too much mellow filler content and I hate how there's a 2 min. skit bolted on the end of "Snacky Poo". Don't get me wrong, the skit is funny, but goddamn do I wish there was more music in its place.

"Out Of Style", "Dirty Rotten Bizkit", "Dad Vibes" and "Turn It Up, Bitch" are great tracks and "Barnacle" and "Snacky Poo" are dope and really fun as well. Those six tracks make up half of the album and only have a total runtime of roughly 15 minutes. That's seriously meager.

So yeah, my biggest gripe is the runtime. Either give us more bangers or ideally flesh out the existing ones some more next time (if there is a next time).

Right now, it's a 2.5 for me, but I might bump it up to a 3 later on after repeated listens, I don't know yet.

"Wes Borland is actually a talented dude, I think people forget sometimes."

That's been the basic hipster take for years

I mean, Borland is unlucky he didn’t get to make his name with a Davis/Chino/Patton/ZDLR - I get that - he got the worst (the Durst). Still, the Durst made him rich with the novelty hits.

The dude has something close to a signature style but…he’s not a Mozart genius the way people talk him up.

Imagine your life’s work has Fred Durst rapping over all of it ahhh

Why do people always say Wes is very talented? What has he done outside of Limp Bizkit that warrants any praise? He’s been at this for a long time now and has virtually nothing to show for it. It’s like some word of mouth thing where people just say it without ever actually thinking why. The guy is extremely limited.

Black Light Burns is his solo project and it’s miles better than anything Limp Bizkit has done. Talented does not imply he’s ground breaking or anything but that he’s at least a great musician worthy of praise. Meaning I still stand by saying he’s wasted on this band.
