About 15 years now. Been playing guitar for about 10 years. Yeah man, I really didnt care for Cali or anything after that. They really lost the style and sound that hooked me into them.

Not too mention it seemed like they were trying too hard to appeal to the mainstream audiences.

I still have nightmares about californications production.... As a band (or producer) I just have no idea how you could go from the incredible sound of blood sugar to the headache inducing noise of Cali.

Lol I was gonna give this a whirl and then I came across From The Sounds Inside and ended up listening to that gem instead. Why is it I like so much of anything that has to do with John Frusciante?

@Conorman11

Oh yeah, Frusciante's solo albums are in my opinion at times better than his work with Red Hot Chili Peppers. Especially the excessively Progged/psyched out albums like The Empyrean and Automatic Writing with Ataxia. He's at his best when he's playing prog.

I personally love "Montreal", and every other track on that album. I 5'd the shit out of it. The songs in AW II were the real bore for me, the album was okay, just no where near AW.
