The Parchment goes so hard. Maiden jamming out and firing on all cylindars on that one...

Better than BNW and on par with DoD which was my favorite post reunion Maiden until now.

I don't know why people keep saying the singles are weak, they go like a mf

None of these songs are weak. I'll never get the comments claiming this to be boring either. This is a solid fucking effort man, and easily a candidate for album of the year for me.

I think what really sets me off about this album is that the last four albums had two to three songs that were great among a sea of mediocrity. This is just pure tedium. Virtual XI/Dance of Death-tier shit and even then, Dance of Death had Gates of Tomorrow and Age of Innocence.

The Parchment understandably stands out a bit as that's one of the few times they really cut loose but even that song's shot in the foot.

Nah, those are the most overtly melodic and least plodding by a significant margin compared to the rest of the album. If you want to go for the contenders for worst, the title track, Wildest Dreams and No More Lies are easily up there.

"Days of Future Past" or "Stratego" are far from being tedious Cas, c'mon.

Wildest Dreams might be the biggest turd in Maiden history and Dance Of Death is a terrible album. This is sooo much better, even despite a certainly regressed Dickinson (still impressive for a 63 years old throat cancer survivor though). Lost In a Lost world (without the boring acoustic intro and outro) might be my favorite track on this.

BTW, anybody seeing any reason beyond moneymaking that could explain why 82 minutes of music are pressed on 3 LPs and 2 CDs?
