"to be clear i didn't so much mean that the quality of the albums were similar (even though personally i kinda think they are)..."

it was a fun comparison, especially as it made me realise Radiohead lose every round fairly emphatically until we hit Amnesiac ousting Medulla, lol

Medulla is underrated as hell and deserves to be part of Bjork’s classic era

Volta killed her momentum not Medulla

whether I agree or not (I don't) Amnesiac has to be better, that was the (rather pointless) comparison

no this is like the eighth or ninth time i've posted this message verbatim in this thread alone lmao

Tbh tec taking a “before and after” screen shot to Sowing would be more effective than reposting over and over.

I advise you post your thing 1 more time, take a screenshot, have Johnny delete it 1 more time, then take another screen shot

passively aggressively using your admin powers to delete non-inflammatory posts you don't agree with—and ""playing it off"" like a ""joke""—is a level of low that I never thought even you could sink to, johnny.

i'm sorry that melt-banana is not as good as you desperately want them to be. don't be mad at me, i am just the messenger.

I'm sure the mods will be super excited to hear about your commitment to spamming my thread out of sour grapes long after the conversation has moved on

They probably won’t

But I decided to at least suggest something more practical than the protest spamming tec was continuing to do

If he thinks the comment deletions are unjust, bring a case to those who can handle things instead of just spamming the deleted comments is my logic

Considering my comments had been getting deleted long before the re-spamming of this same message, I'd say that's a definite maybe

also "my" thread lmao

idk continuing to do the thing you're being told you cannot do as protest, acts as defiance in the face of oppression - making a point to the oppressor that you will not be silenced

depends on the circumstances of course, but it's more valuable than you think

Lol real, though hopefully he's figured out that he's welcome to comment things that don't revolve around the his capacity to take a joke

Build a case. If it’s truly many different comments that he’s deleting and not just that one, it can be recorded if it continues

It’s “his” thread because he’s the reviewer for this particular thread, don’t be obtuse guys

“the thing you’re being told you cannot do”

1. i’ve not been told anything
2. i’ve also not done anything purposefully inflammatory or against the sites “rules”, johnny just gets all turnt every time i voice my opinion that melt-banana is mid lol

would not be an issue if the site was moderated by people who don’t get their feelings hurt so easily at comments that have precisely nothing to do with them idk what else to say

"i’ve not been told anything"
no need to be obtuse about what constitutes spam either
ngl at first this was an innocuous shitbit to me (see how literally every other negative comment in the latest mxbx thread is still up), but spamming over the heads of everyone else in your thread because you think your apparently realer than expected persecution complex is more important than their conversation is obnoxious and tbqh quite revealing for someone who spends half his time here posting with sour irony about how seriously he pretends not to take himself
if that's all you want to contribute, find another thread to be crusty in — think there's been enough dying on this particular hill for one day

I think the issue is deleting comments as a “shitbit”

I’m not sure too many people find it properly funny as a bit, especially not the person getting their comments deleted

I can’t say I love the attitude tec necessarily has, but it’s probably due to this scenario making him feel silenced by someone who has authority

would be much more sympathetic to that angle if he was being 'silenced' for expressing something of consequence (note how all the comments that do are still up mmhm)

anyhow
"Medulla is underrated as hell and deserves to be part of Bjork’s classic era"
am slowly coming round to Medulla being her best post-peak album tbh. the lurch from this to it is so hard stylistically that it does make sense to see it as the start of a new phase of her discog, but if we're talking purely quality, I'd probs have it in there ahead of Debut

It’s definitely better than Debut and prob better than Post

Her 3rd best (okay I haven’t heard Vulnicura yet so maybe 4th but)
