I just dont get how youd call it passionless.. not that you cant dislike the music.

vocals sound rushed and forced at times imo but pretty much only roby. especially on track 2

Agreed.. and that stands out.. Vocal range is pretty low on Robys toolset.. His strengths though... :O

This sounds like the soundtrack to animation masquerading as high art. : )

Or post-breakup tunes to drown your sorrows in a bottle of cheap champagne and a bowl of mixed fruit?

see obviously you can like or dislike it as much as you want but to call it post-breakup tunes to drown your sorrows to makes it sound like you haven't actually even listened to it because it's basically the opposite of that

I don't know I'm certainly hit with feelings of melancholy as I listen. Maybe not melancholy but certainly some sort of disconnected apathy, leaning depressive. Notice I didn't say I dislike it.
It's never going to be hype music at a sporting event.

interesting. this is honestly one of the least melancholy albums I can think of to me, it's almost aggressively warm and uplifting

I thought you were no longer using "lol" lol

Sure its melancholy.. But it basically is mostly all positive and warmth.. The Mew-esque closer especially.

I'll be the judge of whether this is sad or happy

I agree with Wadlez, lots of different moods going on here.
Do I have it right that Roberto is more of the songwriter and Valerie mostly handles singing duties? I thought I read somewhere that he was primarily responsible for the composing and programming.

Hes responsible for most of the production.. programming like you said.. and Bass.. They both construct songs together.. play guitar and sing obviously.
Least that was my interpretation of the material Ive encountered.

In all seriousness, this is fine. Gazey & Ethereal aren't really my bag but I had to give it a shot. I'd probs give it a 3 but imma not bother.
