To each is own and that's fine. Personally I think this smashes the new erra into oblivion

I like uncontrolled breakdowns for 25 mins straight so I guess that's why I absolutely love this

i am biased as fuck as the og erra lineup is my favorite band but like nearly every aspect of the new record is pure ear candy to me lol. the riffs, breakdowns and choruses get stuck in my head so much they practically live there
this goes hard tho nora been on repeat since release

Dude, don't get me wrong... Impulse is one of my favorite metal core albums of all time, bummed they lost that other guitarist, forget his name.

hell yea dude right on impulse is straight up my fav album of all time. agreed tho alan did bring something special to the band and, as much as i love jesse's riffing now, i do miss the fuck out of alan's melodic mis sigs influenced writing

Alan riffan yeah, I follow him on Instagram and he is incredibly talented
I love valhabra off of impulse...
Anyways, if you watch interviews with the screamer for DWP he seems very likable and a smart dude. They did a session on YouTube that is impeccable. It was after transit blues...can't remember the YouTube channel but they feature a lot of different artists

yeah mike is dope and the interviews ive seen make him out to be an interesting dude. haven't really checked out a lot of live/session vids on yt other than the initial zii stream as i needed to settle into his vocal style on most of the later stuff but i've come around on his modern highs a bit so i should dig into that more

Yeah he has an interesting vocal style but I personally love it. He's been screaming for almost decades dude

yeah its pretty cool. even tho it took me a while to settle into them, his highs now are still really solid and strong, just different. i do miss the high/low ratio of 8:18 and before but i can live without em (they're sooooo dope tho lol mike's lows were what hooked me on these guys)

After listening to both a few times, I have to say this one is more solid.
Both are great, but as a whole EP, this one is better. I don't have nostalgia factor for the first btw since i listened to both at the same time.
This is just start to finish a banger and even though Z1 does have the better opener, it falls off while this just stays consistent.
Just created a playlist on Spotify called "Zombie Wears Prada" for Z1+Z2 :]

hey onion, what is it that makes you love Erra?
I can't get into them, but they are such a fun band to see live.

Veks, I agree. Though I do have a ton of nostalgia for Z1 (I remember going to the website with a countdown and the intro of Outnumbered on repeat with the news radio skit), but this just fits more into my tastes nowadays.
Z1 has some EPIC moments, but Jeremy's singing style has matured since then. It gets a little too whiny when I listen to the older stuff.

Garth you gotta jam Impulse or Augment to get the true Erra experience.

Believe me, I've tried. It was a few years back though, so I will give it another shot.
Adding them both to my Spotify.
