Yea, and he went by names like "Kaizer Goering", "Didi SS", and "ZyklonMK" so it's pretty clear

What. The. Actual. Fuck.
I was going to say I feel for the other band members, but then you’d have thought they should know given that fact. Maybe they didn’t know BEFOREHAND I guess, not sure of the timeline.

The drummer posted a statement in the comment section of this album on RYM

Copied from the RYM comment section of III:
Hi, I'm Andrea S, Ad Nauseam drummer.
Someone pointed me to this conversation about my past and I decided to clarify some of the points you're musing about. If needed I'll post something on our official Facebook, will see.
Firstly: Ad Nauseam is not a politically involved band and no one of the members has any connections with NS world and we are all against such ideologies.
- Did I play in “Via Dolorosa”? Yes, I don't wanna hide it; I played with them when I was a teenager, for probably less than a year, and I only recorded some shitty drumming (I wasn't so skilled at that age, to be honest) and a couple of voice lines in a demo of which I can't even remember the title. I played 2 live gigs and that's all. All the other stuff you can find on MA are compilations and re-releases containing mostly the same shitty songs, so my name is related to those albums.
- What about the later releases? I don't know, probably some of the aforementioned songs are contained in those albums, more likely MA added them to my bio as a mistake: for example on MA they say I was part of the band from 2003/2004 but I appear in a 2001 record. They also ascribe me different nicknames that I never had - and btw, I just found myself called KG in the album without having ever been consulted.
- Why did I do that? I was young and when we're young many of us make mistakes.
I was a shy teenager that felt the need to be more self-confident; I loved the Futurism art movement, I listened to Marduk, Dark Funeral. Carpathian Forest etc. and I was fascinated by anything that could convey an idea of power and strength. Really I had no one guiding me at the time and the only people that supported me were dangerously taking a slippery slope toward far-right ideas, but I didn't realize how bad that was.
I wasn't (and I'm still not) a politically aware person and I realized only later how nazism has marked an atrocious chapter of human history and I firmly condemn not only its realization in the nazi regime but also the ideas behind it. I strongly believe that any dictatorship has to be eradicated for human kind to be able to move forward and improve.
Yes, “I'm no longer what I used to be”, as someone correctly pointed out somewhere in a comment.
I've grown up and I want it to be clear that I'm totally out of that world and happy to be.
I strongly recommend you to inquire before attacking people on the internet and insult a whole band because of a long past teenager-hood mistake

Very rare they come out and say 'NO IM AGAINST THAT SHIT' Usually some vague DSO type goobering. Fair play. Good enough for me. Although Im sure some cancel culture dickweeds will still want him hung for something he did as a kid.

the world, if MA put as much energy into verifying band information as they do policing what bands are and aren't metal

Everyone has a past. This guy is owning up to it, openly condemning what he used to be and what he was a part of and wants to move forward and become a better person. Obviously no one in their right mind is going to defend those ideologies. They're heinous and supported and perpetrated by shit people in every instance. But if he is willing to own up to it, grow personally in the right direction, know and acknowledge that it is completely wrong and put all that bullshit completely behind him, I am in his corner 110% to be totally honest.
I really hope they address this on Facebook at some point.

Yeah those quotes are fair enough, I don’t know how it’ll go down elsewhere on the net but I’m willing to take it at face value. It seems feasible that something such as this could happen to a guy of his age. Something which he’s now not just trying to distance himself from, but also taking ownership and outright condemning the whole ideology (without leaving any room for doubt).
