Agree with that seasonal layout Boney. I love jamming CU in the autumn. HB could also be spring or summer IMO.

Very autumnal and summery band generally

This is probably one of my favorite warm weather albums. They should have released it on summer solstice last year instead of Fall but minor complaint for a seriously addicting indie-folk record.

Wtf I wrote this one off too quick. I revisited for some reason and it is growing on me. Deleting my rating for now

How is the new BRM Rowan? I loved the singles, esp. The Ghost of Cincinnati which gave me mad Elliott Smith vibes.

it's incredible. favourite thing Vernon-related since 22AM, easily. almost every song has a stunning moment or 3 and the features are all perfectly integrated without taking up all the air from Dessner and Justin
frankly just some outstanding stuff, can't wait for people to hear it

Yesss that's exactly what I was hoping for
Haven't been a fan of any recent Bon Iver or National, so I was a little concerned at first

Probably the biggest turnaround in opinion that I have ever had in an album. This was a 2 when it came out but it's earcandy right now.
|
| |
Album Rating: 4.5
ear candy is the right descriptor
I can put this on in any setting and love it, even if it lacks the mystique/magic of HB or CU for me

Not quite feeling this one like other Fleet Foxes. Not as instrumentally and vocally perfect as their debut, and far safer sounding than Helplessness and Crack, so it's just kinda middling.
