I had a chaotic few years in Cambodia man so that will always be the closest to my heart. Back when it was pretty wild. Its wild now but for different reasons. The chinese raping the place basically but yeah Cambodia for sure. Bolivia was a fave too. Philpppines. Different places for diff reasons, really. Some aesthetically some for the absolute crazyness.

The glory days are well gone though. Its a shell of what made it fun for westerners. It was always a bit wild west that was the excitment. Then more and more tourism came which happens everywhere but now the chinese have been allowed to run amok by the corrupt government. They set up casinos on every corner theres chinese gangs everywhere. Kicked all the Khmers who hd nothing to the curb and strictly employ other chinese. Making these places 'Little Macau' gambling havens as Gambling is banned in Thailand etc. Some of the thriving towns are now desolate,worse poverty,garbage laden almost similar to many border towns. Such a shame. This week again theres MAJOR flooding in the capital which isnt helped because of the lakes that were there since Angkor times where filled in by the chinese for apartments (which were never built) So yeah...its done. Gutting.
Death.Void.Terror would be teh perfect soundtrack actually!

Cambodia is one of those places I don't see myself going. Out of Asia I would like to visit Japan, China and maybe Vietnam. All my friends who went to Nam loved it.

It was the best place in SE asia for that exact reason. It drew the characters in and kept them there. Hard to explain. Some of the stuff you see,days you live,its hollywood shit. Not what your average traveller wants. It was chaotic but addictive but didnt have to be If you want feet up by the beach talking to some dicks from your own county you can do that too but I go away to live a little. The Khmer people also are the nicest in the region given what theyve been through ,by far. Aesthetically Vietnam/thai is much nicer but I found many of the people to be utter twats especially Vietnam. Fake smiles until they cant get any more money out of you. Saying that a vietnamese family also took me in for the night in the middle of no where on the Mekong delta,fed me,cut my hair, wouldnt take a penny. I found the more north i got the shittier the people. As you got closer to china actually what a coincidence. Not that Cambodia isnt beautiful btw. The rice paddies and countryside are some of my fave places in the world if you stay out there with a family. The peace the sunsets given what was going on in the feels just a few decades ago. And angor wat is obviously just incredible.

This would be so much better without the synths honestly. Loved the atmosphere on here, very sludgy and industrial. Just wish the band pushed the creepiness factor instead of the melodic keyboard stuff
