Comments like those make me think you only saw the original trailer where she looked admittedly pretty bad, because she doesn’t look awful in the final product. James also looked awful when first showcased but they did a lot to polish the look of the characters

Y'all seriously glossing over how terrible ass the *gameplay* was in the original.



The hospital in particular literally had multiple rooms where you'd enter and there would be three enemies up your ass instantly, nowhere to run because there's shit all over the room limiting movement. 50/50 on if you can even fucking see anything because of the wonky half-static camera and the direction your flashlight is aiming when you enter, so trying to just leave is a gamble and if you do the same thing will happen when you come back. You probably take hits (on high difficulties you're immediately in danger), you rely on auto aim and knockback to survive, you finally kill them and get your reward: Nothing. So you leave and go to the next eight "The lock is broken" doors in a row.



Immersive! Visionary! Masterpiece!



Fuckin' get real y'all. If they could have, they'd have made combat similar to what we have in the remake.



That said, I *do* wish there were a few less enemies, only because you don't really have the option of running past them unless you 100% know where you're going and it happens to lead out of an area.

If that was the case I'd point out remake Eddie before Angela. He looks grotesque.

Remake Eddie is definitely uncomfortable to look at, but I think it works. It's definitely more obvious that he's fucked up from the start, and increasingly tense interactions with James. Angela imo is a change I don't really understand so much, as she's meant to look much older.

Her og voice actor makes her sound middle aged, I've never been a huge fan of how she sounds in the original but she still has some great delivery in the late game. I'm ok with remake Angela (so far).



Mary og has always been my favorite take for the voice so that's the one I really care about tbh. You wont beat that delivery for the in water ending when she's reading the letter.



The guys in the remake are way more off-putting than the girls in the remake.
