the distortion they put on the vocals is a mind-numbingly stupid decision. He sounds really bad an on top of that, I cannot even understand a word he's saying compared to how wonderful he sounded on this with great vocal clarity for each word. Album is going to be atrocious at this rate

Yeah, I wanted to like the new songs but they are mostly garbage.

One of the best albums ever made in this genre. Enough said.

The new album is complete and total garbage in comparison to this one. There is not a single song on the new album that I'd rate higher than ANY previous Thornhill song, even off their 2016 debut. It's just SO disappointing because this band is capable of so much more and yet Heroine is a MAJOR step back in every conceivable category.

Oh well, at least we have this masterpiece.

I just heard a song that really reminds me of this album (Gravemind - Deathtouch). Not the verses, as it’s a decent bit heavier than anything Thornhill has released, but the chorus is soooo this era of Thornhill imo

They’re both Aussie bands, so kinda makes sense

I was surprised by how much I enjoyed this, and also surprised at how little -core-y this is. Perfectly fine without it, but the metalcore tag def set a different expectation for me.

VOLA might not be too far off, I've also seen the Karnivool comparison
