4+ is definitely a bit much for a band like this. It's not to say it isn't impressive, but a lot of people have really strong yuck or yum reflexes to music this extreme.

I honestly don't really see the appeal, it's deathcore that is just a little less boring, but still doesn't bring really engaging riffs and the production is way too polished, especially the snare is way too trebly...

This isn't THAT extreme though, in fact it's pretty easy going for something incorporating these styles, especially due to the production values - if anything I'd rather they cranked it up a notch.

Dirge and Chthonic are so damn meh, honestly feel like skipping them every time I listen to the album, those tracks are nowhere near as good as Macrocosm or Sullen Moon
