I've never listened to this band before but I'm really big on the music here for sure. I've never been a fan of mewithoutYou type spoken word post-hardcore but this definitely surprised me.

I haven’t even been able to focus on the lyrics much, but atmosphere and instrumental wise this is a 4 easy and the couple of listens I’ve had to really focus on the lyrics bump it up. It really does feel like a complete album.

I wish this had a Last Lost Continent or King Park style song though. The last song on here is fine but I feel like it ends as soon as it gets good. It could have been a couple minutes longer.

Agreed but this is so good the way it is. A song like King Park just... wouldn’t fit on here.

Yeah the tension this created by never actually breaking through to a King Park style song is one of my favorite things about it. It’s always on the verge of a breakdown making it almost nerve wracking to listen to.

I think Fulton Street I just leaped to #1 on the album for me over Footsteps at the Pond

Can't beat the emotion when he sings "I've never put flowers by the street"

Finally got to spin this at work (which isn't the best environment for super lyrics-focused stuff like this, but hey) and it's definitely got some gems...I still love Fulton Street I, and I think the calm ending for You Ascendant works beautifully

You Ascendant is an amazing closer. That build-up then restraint is so good.

This is such an amazing album. This band so far hasn't released a single album (or song even) I don't enjoy.

You Ascendent is my early favourite it the whole thing slaps.

The line that does it for me is when he says "I just stayed in the same place for days

In the same place for days, in the same place for days"
