This might end up being top 5 in my AOTY - which is kinda sad because I just haven't listened to many fantastic albums this year.

Any recs similar to this from this year?

In terms of being equally as much of a huge diva?

The strings in The Knot remind me of Michael Gordon's Decasia. Maybe I've just been listening to that one too much.

It's not one of my faves, but I don't think I can refute that.

So, I already mentioned Michael Gordon here, but if someone likes the strings here, and obviously particularly in The Knot, they should listen to this, 'cause it looks like I'm the only person who has rated it in this site (and that is not good):

I know. It's like 10 times more nerdy and boring.

Webern and Bach are my bois. Messiaen is good too. Feldman is trash.

Bach is the GOAT, dude. Webern may be RYMcore but that also applies to Messiaen, Feldman and other composers, lol. I like Cardew, not a lot, but I like him.

This is one of my favorite albums this year, but I have noticed (especially on Scaffold of Digital Snow) a really really high frequency ring in the background of a few of the tracks. Anyone else? This is on the Spotify version, so maybe it's not there on a physical copy.

Yeah, that was a problem at first, I think some of us mentioned it before in this thread, but I thought it was already gone, I haven't tried Spotify but at least the Bandcamp stream works well.

I've had Tinnitus for three years now lol, so when I first heard this I thought it was getting worse. It's still there on the Spotify version, unfortunately.
