I mean it rules but it’s middle of the road Amorphis for me.

I dunno it's still a great time but for me it doesn't touch shit like Rolo Tomassi, Daughters, KEN Mode, Horrendous, Obliteration, Vein, Noise Trail Immersion, etc

But different strokes, I guess

I still haven't come around the Daughters album, although I heard it once.

Yeah new Daughters is a grower, but I also get that it's not for everyone - it's weird as shit, but I love it

Can't say this surpasses Under the Red Cloud, but this album managed to exceed my expectations.

Amongst Stars is among my favorite songs of this year.

Well for what is worth, this album is my first full-legth Amorphis jam since Tuonela, which I cherish to this day.

The couple of albums released after that, were so blatantly promoted in my homeland, I ended up being totally dissociated from the band, not to mention I was drawn by other music genres - post metal/hardcore among many more - in the '00s.

Word of mouth had it that these guys started going upward again 10+ years ago, but the ship had sailed, and it took Willie's soundoff to bother coming back for this one.

Eventually, I will listen to all post 2006 Amorphis albums.

This album was great, but seeing their tour for this was one of the most disappointing acts of 2018 for me. Everyone in the band looked so bored.
