godsmack's first album is decent tbh

There's just no reason to ever listen to them again tbh

Godsmack up to The Oracle owns.
The last couple albums...not so much.

Even though I like the album I do think it would be a nice surprise to many inclusing myself if they did a more experimental album ,maybe a concept album, to change it up a bit while still retaining the band's usual vibe to break up the monotony and to see how they would handle an more unconvential style if they could do it justice or not they've proven they've got chops we'll have to see what they come up with next this was a stronger effort from them imo

Godsmack's benchmark to me is everything from the debut up to 3, 4 and Oracle's decent not on the level of the ones before those.1000 HP wasn't bad felt a little formulaic though the new one doesn't annoy me like it does other more hardcore godsmack fans I feel like they execute a more popish album alright the issue is the tracks aren't that memorable it doesn't suck though it's my least favorite from them

kind of annoying how this really good production is all but wasted

Torn In Two came up in my YT recommendations and l didn't mind it. Will revisit this. BB are alright in the right mood.

Dark Of You still remains as stellar as it ever did.

Not that impressed with the guitar work even though there's 3 guitarists and a bassist. It seems like they went with a wall of sound effect rather than playing different melodies.

Bands like breaking benjamin and distubed still makes the nu-metal revival a waste of time. I wanted incubus and sugar ray to return to their early roots, NO THAT THE WORSE BANDS RETURN TO THE MAINSTREAM.

I'm always fluctuating between a 3 and a 3.5 with this. It has some songs that I love, but most of the album is the same old boring BB formula.

I prefer DBD over this. The stretch from Hollow to Never Again is better anything in here.

Check YouTube. He came on stage and played firefly at one of their shows

thats awesome to hear

This is actually pretty solid. I remember DBD bumming the fuck out of me at the time but this is a step up.

Yeah I prefer Ember to DBD. Feels like the band overall were just more comfortable in their own skin, even if the material is a little samey at times.

This has grown on me quite a lot, hence the 3/5, but it pales next to their original line up albums. I loath the production on these albums, it sounds terribly muddy
