Bold starting point as this is their least accessible. Rewarding and unique album though. Good luck.

Oh well. I didn't think much about it tbh. I thought going chronologically is probably the best. I liked this, so I think it's gonna be fine

i mean this is the first tdep i heard, i was like 12 and a friend burnt it for me saying it was crazy as fuck lol. chronological works fine just don't skip 'irony is a dead scene' inbetween this and miss machine, likewise i feel like 'ire works' is the blueprint for the rest of their album run. option paralysis dropping is what cemented them as an all time fav thoo

Now that I think about it, this was my first TDEP too lol.

It was my first too, followed by Option Paralysis. And both are still my favorites of theirs (CI remains #1 though)

Oh, it was definitely my first also. You learn from these 'mistakes' tho (not really a mistake per se, I just imagine the process would've been a lot shorter had I checked out MM or Ire Works first)
Having said that, I don't think it was too long before I snagged IW, so something must have clicked with this fairly early on, even if I didn't love it wholeheartedly. Recollection isn't always accurate. It could just be that IW was recently out and I bought into the hype despite mostly jamming 43% Burnt from this lol

Just got tickets to see these guys live and I cannot fucking wait. Never thought I'd get to see them in any capacity either.

I certainly will! Hearing that riff in Accept Instruction live will be a top 5 concert moment, I can already tell.

Best live show I've ever been too, or at least craziest

I'll never forget seeing them at Warped Tour like 15 years ago. They had a really small crowd, and Greg stopped mid-show to roast Detroit and Alesana lol. Great show, but the crowd size and energy def took away from it. Incredible live performers regardless.

I mean we are talking about a man who took a literal shit on stage at reading and said “this is what you can expect from the rest of the day” lmao
Reading it is hilarious but I have no idea how I would react if I were there

That is fucking wild.
At this show, he stopped halfway through a track and said something to the effect of, "Wtf up with this small crowd, Detroit?" and gave this brief story about the importance of the city to him, and then he said, "Apparently people only want to listen to lame emo music. FUCKING PATHETIC!" I was like damn this dude is as intense irl as he is in his music lmao
