Let it Enfold You > Renacer > Pull the Thorns > From the Depths of Dreams > If There is a Light > Still Searching > The Fire > Life Is Not a Waiting Room
all over the place lol

The fire and renacer are like neck and neck because the fire has better songs but renacer is way more consistent. And now that i think about it waiting room and this may be better than enfold idk they’re really really consistent so the list changes around a ton

i think that Depths of Dreams EP is so dope though (as unpolished as it is). used to listen to Bloody Romance on repeat as a kid
"enfold is number 1 forever"

Basically agree with Motoko's ranking except for where he put this. Depths of Dreams is dope and underrated.
"i got into them a week before this dropped."
Wondered why your ranking was so bad, but this explains it.

id rephrase that by saying nostalgia hasn’t made me think that enfold you is songwriting wise their best record when renacer holds their most interesting material, the fire contains their best lyrics and still searching holds their best hooks but ok

I hate that I can't be a champion of LIEY without people thinking it's purely nostalgia. I happen to think that album contains their best lyrics and hooks, although songwriting-wise it would be a tie between Renacer and Pull the Thorns.

idk enfold just sounds very of its time i like it a lot but like it just sounds like a discount version of all the big names at the time like thursday and thrice i think still searching is sort of still that but with better hooks and better production which helps a lot plus the sequencing on that is a+. the fire is def their lyrical high point for me thanks to the portrayal of a man at his absolute lowest and the extreme conviction behind songs like lifeboats and coward put those as their defining material for me, and compositionally and melodically renacer is definitely their most interesting and immersive. enfold is probably next in my ranking its still good especially for a debut it just feels too...idk standard i guess?

@Onion I agree about Renacer, and you're definitely not wrong about LIEY at least being influenced by Thursday and Thrice (idk about discount version). In regards to how you feel about the lyrics, I've known plenty of Senses Fail fans who feel the same way - maybe not particularly about The Fire, but Buddy's personal lyrics will have a profound effect on them in some way, which I respect. For me it's the opposite; I love the lyrics on LIEY because of how impersonal they seem (for the most part at least). They're just a lot of poetic, Bukowski-influenced lyrics, which, as an avid reader, I appreciate a lot.

fair point from that angle I can see how you'd prefer it for me it's not quite the top but like they're a remarkably consistent band so
