Going through the low times is being disheartening. Futureal is a jam but holy shit what follows is a cataclysm of colossal proportions, not even Harris can play the bass anymore, Blaze sings out of tune like half of the album, this is just... ugh
Onwards to the triumphal return.

Unpopular opinion but if this one was released this year by some unknown band, we'd be praising it. The main problems here are that we've come to expect a lot better by Maiden and the overlong duration of most songs with the main culprit being Strike's favorite track.

Biggest problem is the repetitive choruses that drag on. With a little better writing, it could have been a decent album. But the second track kills the momentum. Futureal is actually a good opener.

Yeah it was alright. Bailey wasn't so great live, though (i saw them touring after this album)...
I think he was kind of misused throughout his stint with Iron Maiden, he can be better than on either this or X Factor.
This really didn't compete with Bruce's solo albums.

Certainly not one of their better albums but I do really like "Futureal". "The Clansman" is a classic and one of my favorite Iron Maiden songs. Besides that.... uh "Maybe Lightning Strikes Twice" is ok, so is "When Two Worlds Collide" but I just cant get with the rest of the album and "The Angel and Gambler" is awful.
