"How is Sober II (Melodrama) a fairly uneventful reprise? It's a fully fleshed out song, I view it as the title track here (as suggested by the parentheses). Actually a bit surprised it isn't getting much attention in the thread, love the beat drop, the strings, closing hook, everything about it. "

I definitely said this itt so it has been mentioned at least. Sober II was my initial favorite song on here. Still top three.

And, as Sowing has reiterated, the only reason my top songs keep shifting is cause this is c-o-n-s-i-s-t-e-n-t start to finish.

I took at least five listens before I felt comfortable giving this a rating but I think I'm pretty satisfied with the 4.5. I really like everything she did here stylistically and in execution.

But we're the greatest, they'll hang us in the Louvre

Down the back, but who cares, still the Louvre

Turns out the Blonde comparisons weren't that far off after all

yeah I love how she talks about a post-Blonde musical landscape. parts of this do have similarities to that (the almost-ambient endings to The Louvre and Supercut especially give me mad Frank vibes) but it's entirely its own thing and I love it

it's so rare to hear dissonance properly embraced on pop albums, it sounds like those strings are fuckin' shredding and it's sooooo good. maybe I should bump this up
