Have you seen my rating. I mostly agree with you on the album. I don't agree on the wide ranging implications that you draw from your evaluation of the album. (You just brought up that BLMKidnapping thing as if it would be something that Mike/El-P would endorse)

Against my better judgement, I'll try to explain you why. This album is an artistic expression, not a political manifesto. RTJ have, from day 1 defined themselves by writing crude/crass/incendiary lyrics. They are ~deliberately~ overshooting the target. Killer Mike has been this way pratically his whole career. Do you think if you sit down with Killer Mike, he'll tell you that he thinks that Trump is Satan and his supporters are Nazis? This is one of the (many) things that art is supposed to do. Pushing boundaries, testing limits etc, provoke a reaction. (Marilyn Manson, Curt Cobain anyone?) Do I personally think, that they've become conry and pandering? Yes. Do I think it's some great threat to the integrety of society? No. Your pearl-clutching outrage not withstanding.
