Tbh I kind of expected him to go this route, but that's what made it all the more surprising that he accomplished everything I envisioned this piece being. Living up to expectations is a rare thing when you're as accomplished of an artist as Vernon. I know it's cliche but this still feels like the Kid A of indie-folk to me. Perhaps that's a bit of a stretch whatever but I love it.
