Will likes to make long albums. Nervous Young Man is 2+ hours ffs

I find this engaging front-to-back so the length doesn't bother me. Cosmic Hero and Ballad both justify their lengths

With the exception of Fill In The Blank, the shortest songs here are the weakest ones

In this case I think the album is consistent enough that the length is justified, but as was discussed a few pages back, the length makes me less likely to listen to it a lot of times/multiple times in a row

I think the reason that this is long is less that the album was meant to be long and immersive and more that Will just wanted to have a standard number of tracks but many of them ended up long, hence long album.

Relistening now and 1937 State Park just grew on me big time. This hovers between a 4 and 4.5 so hard.

It's just a bit too much of the same for me. I would have liked more diversity if it's gonna be so long. Same with the new James Blake.

Maybe with repeated listens it'll be better.

Really loved Drunk Drivers.

And if it's way too long, like over 2 hours, at least have parts that I can listen to individually. Like Joanna's Have One On Me does.

Does Nervous Young Man have that?

AmericanFlagAsh - I agree. There are some killer tracks, but they needed to trim some of the fat off.

Favorite tracks are: Drunk Drivers, Destroyed By Hippie Powers, and Drugs With Friends.

Yeah agreed that those 2 are the closest to filler, though the last is so short that I wouldn't count it

Second to last track is a jam, smh

Just What I Needed / Not Just What I Needed is the filler-iest here imo, not counting that final track

I wasn't even expecting the last track. I thought it was over.

I'll have to hear it again Boney, but Drunk Drivers and Destroyed By Hippie Powers were my favorites.
