"besides garfield wasnt athletic either until he got his powers."

man i distinctly remember him skateboarding n' shit

the main thing is the whole stuttery mumbly dialogue thing every time him and emma stone are on camera like idk it strikes me as such a poor portrayal of the romance compared to macguire and dunst's conversation and like i say that wasn't fantastic but at least it felt sincere

"man i distinctly remember him skateboarding n' shit"

fair enough, i forgot about that

but to be equally fair, its not like skateboarders are 'athletic' in general

they are usually shithead burnouts.

Which is how he came off. To me.

Toby had charm up until the third movie.

"I haven't seen the 2nd one, but you'd have to know nothing about the in-comic Peter Parker to think this at all when it comes to the 1st one"

They got the idea of Spider-Man right but not Peter Parker. Peter Parker in the first movie is a cocky douche bag. The transition to him becoming Spider-Man is so awkward because he's not as dorky as he was in the comics. He's basically acting like Spider-Man before he becomes Spider-Man. Them trying to make him nerdy is so forced in that movie that they turn him into a stuttering creeper who looks high all the time. Obviously the fault of the writing also, but Garfield doesn't help.

He's a good actor, but he felt a little out of place. He's far from the worst part of the movie though.

this album is just like really really poor for radiohead standards so to see it being one of their "best new records" is just ugh

no contest, get in rainbows

I can't tell you the last time I've seen you react positively to an album with any traction at all.

heh. what's the point of commenting on an album five people listen to here? the busy threads are where the action is.

probably the reason you're mr. negative in 'em if I'm being FRANK
