personally feel the 2012 revision of the Iggy mix is the closest to what the band wanted, but fundamentally, the Bowie mix is the best but ultimately makes the album anything but raw.

it does not sound like it came out yesterday, if it came out yesterday it would not sound like it does, nobody sounds like this now, or ever really, but it sounds like it came out in the 70's when things sounded cool, not manufactured in some high school kids bedroom

That's what "sounds like it came out yesterday" means. It's still incredibly fresh.
