T/T & Lazarus are 1 and 2 and then everything else is pretty much even.

Girl Loves Me still fails to really thrill me

Title track might be my favourite, but then again there's Lazarus and 'Tis A Pity.

Friday: "Where the fuck did monday go? What's Bowie going on about?"

Monday: "holy shit"

How can you all rank Blackstar's tracks? I personally can't, they're all amazing and different from each other. Such a consistent record.

Also, the parallels and coincidences between Girl Loves Me's "where the fuck did Monday go" and his passing are just bonkers. Euthanasia, anyone?

I'd never even considered that and usually I'm quick to dismiss far fetched conspiracy theories but... you could be on to something there.

It's not a vituperative observation at all, I would never insult Bowie. But yeah, his death was so enigmatic and with so many coincidences floating around it that it almost seems like it was planned from the get-go. The Monday thing... him dying in peace and in the presence of his cherished family. There would be nothing wrong with him willingly exiting life in peace. After all, "Blackstar" was his final life purpose and he fulfilled it. God, didn't he fulfil it.

Or... it was just a mere coincidence, or God's plan, or whatever. Eh. ¯_(ツ)_/¯

fripp with the shit attitude as per usual

its honestly more believable that he planned to be euthanized than just coincidently wrote an album predicting his death to be honest

Perhaps he just didn't want to leave it to chance.

'predicting' his death may be a poor choice of words......after all, he knew it was coming and wrote the album accordingly

He may have been euthanized, yeah, but there's nothing really wrong with it and it certainly doesn't make a difference in the quality of this
