Hardly an apology. Coldplay is a mainstream pop rock band and I find this record enjoyable for what it is.

Album definitely lacks the hooks of their previous records, but the album is well produced, has some pretty cool tracks, nothing ground breaking but I enjoy hearing new Coldplay.

I dunno, I think that this album suffers from the same issue as Ghost Stories. Nothing really sticks out save for a few tracks, and the band is so absent from production that you may as well call it a Chris Martin solo record.

Cool story bro. Even if you look at this record objectively it's hardly a terrible record, surely doesn't reinvent the wheel but it's well produced, Chris Martin is a great front man and has this album it's moments.
