I thought this was way more powerful than Be Human if you ask me, probably because the production is way better on here but that's just me.

Production is nice but Im quite the opposite, his voice sounds like it's missing some kind of dynamic that made him stick out more to me earlier. His voice just kinda slides off how polished everything else sounds. Or something.

Yeah I think I like One Day Son a bit more than this. I will admit Charlie's cleans are better on there, not to mention I really love the calm and moody tone it has.

yeah, the instrumental arrangements are what save this album in the end for sure (for the most part) but man those vocals are really souring me out. I think I'll give One Day Son a spin and see what I think about that.

"the cleans sound fine to me, can't really see the problem"
they just sound so unbelievably disposable, like pretty much any other modern "post-hardcore" band

This may be one of the more fun records of 2015.

Sharp Tongue and Titan are personal favorites of mine. I had recently bumped my rating down for this record, though I do still enjoy a lot of what's on here. On a personal note, while I do encourage innovation every now and then, I could care less about how conventional this sounds. Just my two cents.

Speaking of Charlie's vocal performance, he sounds really good on the last song here. Dive would be a better number were it about a minute or two longer, but as it stands, I think it still works overall.

Yeah Dive is definitely a tease; it just dies after that second chorus. It's a fantastic track up to that point though.

Main vocalist should leave the band and let the second one take over the singing. Amount of editing his voice needs hurts my ears and it still sounds like a drunk dude who is half asleep mumbling something. Refrains of most songs are also rather underwhelming.
Well made inclusion of electronic sounds and the quite original guitar riffs in the verses are positive however.

If you like the second singer and the electronic elements of this I would recommend their side project Gunship

Yeah I like the second singer more and I'm not that of an electronic guy as a whole but I think they've made a good job with including those elements into the songs without making them feel like a gimmick but rather supporting a songs flow through it.
