I thought that album was alright, but I wasn't as big a fan of it as most other people. The only other album of theirs I've listened to is Derelict, which I liked somewhat better.

I wish Fortune 500 would come back, but I guess that was back when the genre had a lot more inspiration and originality. Dream Catalogue still does a nice job with releases, but most of them don't capture my attention nearly as much as a lot of the old releases on Fortune 500 did.

i think this is synthwave+chillwave, it just happens to sound like vaporwave. this is a lot more focused and effective than most vaporwave i've heard. it doesn't have that super air-y "trying to be evocative but ultimately grabbing onto nothing" vibe at all.
